Personal Background

Laura graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Masters in Physical Therapy, and has an extensive background in volleyball, having competed in semi-professional beach volleyball tournaments including the Volleyball BC Tour, Vancouver Open, National Beach Volleyball League and Australian Beach Volleyball Tour.

Laura is also completing research on the topic of “Run, Jump, Throw and Catch Like a Girl: A Scoping Review of the Epidemiology of Injuries in Female Athletes” and will Co-Author a Manuscript, anticipated to be published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

Her personal interests include travelling and hiking, weightlifting, running, swimming and cycling.

Laura's Passion

Laura’s passion for physiotherapy comes from a desire to assist and help people through their injuries and get back to their life goals. With a long history in sport herself at high levels of volleyball, Laura understands the impact of injury on life and sport, having recently needed an ACL reconstruction herself.

Laura is passionate about females in sport, completing the research mentioned above.
